Indeed Barry, I think apple tried to sue their users in the US for using their Phones in such a way as to be unlawful in apples eyes. The judge said that these people had a right to use their phones in a spirit of fair use, so if they wanted to shake them to bits with over vibrating alerts, over stretch the camera with applications etc, they could do so, as long as they were aware of the damage that could possibly be caused. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Barry Toner Sent: 15 November 2010 13:32 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Fw: Copying a DVD Hi, Regarding the legality of copying DVDs. It's a bit of a grey area, but there is an argument that copying them for personal backups and to port them to portable players etc falls under Fair use.
