Like I said before David, I agree with that personally, but my friend can't be
convinced to spend a few pennies to get a really good product.

I use Eset myself and am perfectly happy with it.

I can never understand why people do not ask for the easiest to use, or the
most accessible for the blind, or even the best. Many users just want the
cheapest, or even better no cost at all. I know money is limited for most, if
not all of us, but sometimes paying just a little will save you more money in
the long run. My personal preference is for Esset, and I find it easy to use.
It is also not expensive at around £25 a year, although I cannot remember the
exact cost.

If ease of use is what you are after, together with something trustworthy and
reliable, look no further.

  Hi Barbara,

Please don't knock ALL free anti-virus companies.

Most provide a commercial option, but at a cost. That's where they get their
income from.

In most cases, private users get the same protection.

  George.

Personally I agree with you Steve, but this is for someone else who doesn't
thin like us. I never trust free anti-virus programs as I always think, if they
were that good, why give them away? But like I say, others think differently.

    Hi Barbara,

Why free? Eset is the most accessible I know. Why don't people like paying
for things that work? <Smile>.

    All the best

    Steve

Can anyone recommend a good free anti-virus program which could be easily
managed by a JAWS user with not extensive technical skills? The person wants
something free and which does not require exttensive PC knowledge to manage.
Preferably not AVG.

    Thanks for any suggestions made.
