Thanks for that interesting synopsis clive. I will definitely stick with what I have, but it was very interesting to know how much it had changed. I hope you enjoy the games as much. There is nothing spoken when you turn the unit off. also, when you enter identify mode to explore the keyboard, pressing the clear key now doesn't exit this mode. You have to press the identify key again and carry on what you were doing. The audio instructions now come on a standard CD with a man reading the text with demonstrations of each topic on the unit. they are divided into 14 sections which you can easily navigate by selecting the appropriate track. the unit comes with all accessories, including a pair of over-the-ear headphones. there isn't a mains adaptor. the leatherette case comes rolled up in a plastic bag tucked under the plastic packaging containing the unit. It is a tight fit and you slip the unit in with the narrow front end first so the zip runs along the back edge. These are my initial findings. If I come across any other differences I will share them with you.
