[access-uk] Re: Four apps for iPod Touch/iPhone to recommend

I can tell you that my son had an iPod Classic some time ago which needed to
go back to an Apple Repair Centre as one of the headphone channels cut out.
It wasn't anything he'd done, it just kept happening, and any headphones he
tried made no difference. They told me during my conversation with them for
their address details that if it was faulty, they would simply throw it out
and replace the whole unit, so asked me to ensure he backed up all his
stuff. Sure enough, he got a new one, and that was that.

Now whether this is the extreme for replacement batteries I wouldn't like to
say, but it is sadly annoying when you can't replace a component yourself as
this is indeed the case with Apple. Mind you, looking on the bright side,
you have to send the Milestone back to RNIB to have its battery replaced
too, and none of the other specialist players require that.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

I don't know how much a battery would be, I just know if something happens
it you go back to Apple. I have never yet heard of anyone having to do this
though.
