[access-uk] Flash Player

Hi All
Increasingly more often when I go to a web site it will tell me to install Flash Player. I have always refused but I have just hit a site that insists. Normally I say no and continue as if it made no difference. If this is so why do I need the player anyway? What effect does it have when installed?
