Hi Justin The day before you go send a blank message to the usual access list but put this in the subject line (You can cut and paste to make sure the spacing is correct): vacation 6 d The six is the number of days you will be away plus the day you are setting up the request, and the d stands for days. "Q: Holidays - I want to stop list mail while I am away - how? In the Subject line, put the following command, but note that you need to change the # and x as listed below. vacation # x (Note the spaces in the above!) # is a number. x is either letter d for days, h for hours, or m for minutes. Example:- vacation 8 d would stop mail for 8 days from the time you sent the command. NOTE: If you do not put a letter, the default for the number you put is days. If you do not put a letter or a number, the default is two weeks." can anyone make any sense of this for me please? I'm going away in two weeks, for five days which is why i wanna find out how to use the vacation function and, how to on the list again after I come back, lol. thanks Justin ----- Original Message ----- From: "George Bell" <george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, June 10, 2004 2:36 PM Subject: [access-uk] FAQ List > > > I see there have been quite a few requests for the FAQ (Frequently Asked > Questions) list. > > Are there any things I may have missed, or is it all crystal clear? > > George. > > > This Message has been scanned for viruses by McAfee Groupshield. > > ** To leave the Access-UK list, send a message with the Subject:- > ** unsubscribe > ** to access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > ** Please do not put text or signatures in the message body > ** For other things like setting nomail when on holiday, > ** or digest mode, send a message, to > ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- > ** faq > ** Please do not put text or signatures in the message body. ** To leave the Access-UK list, send a message with the Subject:- ** unsubscribe ** to access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** Please do not put text or signatures in the message body ** For other things like setting nomail when on holiday, ** or digest mode, send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- ** faq ** Please do not put text or signatures in the message body.
