Hi Eleanor.Well as you describe it, the crash is happening during the installation, so that would suggest to me a component error when trying to register with the windows registry. There's nothing for it but a complete uninstall, registry purge and reinstallation as I outlined in one of my many messages this afternoon. All the best, Ibrahim.----- Original Message ----- From: "Eleanor Burke" <eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 21, 2009 5:08 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Error on Installing Jaws10 on to NC10 XP HomeI do not have a problem with the ilm liscencing either Ibrahim, it is the installation only!!! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ibrahim Gucukoglu" <ibrahim_gucukoglu@xxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 21, 2009 4:59 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Error on Installing Jaws10 on to NC10 XP HomeHi George.Red herring mate, this is happening during installation and jaws doesn't touch the net until the ILM licensing manager does its thing. All the best, Ibrahim.----- Original Message ----- From: "George Bell" <george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 21, 2009 4:57 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Error on Installing Jaws10 on to NC10 XP HomeCourtesy of Microsoft. Could you tell us exactly what your problem is? I've just deleted 5emails from you which are totally nothing but wine and gripesagainstJackie, Len and James. This is not a forum for you to vent youranger, frustration or feelings out on, its a discussion forum where likemindedindividuals come to discuss technology, access implications andwherepeople assist each other. OK, sometimes debates get a little out ofhand, but out of all the people I've ever come across, you have to be oneof theworst and persistent moaners I've ever seen. Kindly tell us whatexactlyyour having trouble with, then someone might dame to help you. I wouldlike tosee the small print from FS stating this as a requirement then atleast Ican go back to the education authority that purchased Jaws 10 forme andget them to have my system checked out for compatability.----- Original Message ----- From: "Hussein Patwa " <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 21, 2009 3:48 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Jaws DongleHi Eleanor, It's always advisable to check compatibility with any applicationbeforepurchase or installation. This is particular important for access technology, particularly if the technology is planned for use withaparticular application. It would be unfortunate if someone paidgoodmoney for a product, only to find it didn't work with their chosenapplicationdue to a lack of research beforehand. Also, I'm sure there are some notable changes between Jaws 9 and10. Assoftware advances, it's not inconceivable that the way it operatesorinteracts with the computer system, not to mention itsdependencies andsystem requirements may change. _______________________________________ Have a pleasant day, Kind Regards and Best Wishes, Hussein.
