Yes fine Ian. As I might have said earlier, when I found the general email
address for WM I emailed them asking, in effect, if they had 'problems' with
email contact. Then the email contact started to be announced on WM a few
minutes later. So I guess WM had simply got out of the habit of announcing
presenters email details onair. A bit of an oversight if you ask me.

I shall be equiping myself with Talx soon, but I do feel its being less than
inclussive not to give out the email address from time to time, as well as
phone numbers and texting numbers.

Hi Ray,

I'm not directly involved either with WM or the BBC's email system.
However, I'm certain that there is no concern over people emailing their
local station. If you feel that insufficient is being made on air of
email as a possible means of contacting shows, I suggest you contact the
station's Editor. His name is Keith Beach and I'm sure he'd be
receptive.

Cheers now.

Ian

Hi. Of late I've started listening to my local radio station - WM in my
case. I'm not very attached to it really, not least because it decends
into wall to wall football in the evenings.

I've noticed wh're always being asked to text in comments, which I, not
having Talx or anything at the moment, cannot do. I never here email
mentioned as an alternative. Do you find the same thing?

Could be its BBC policy to try and reduce volume of email and, maybe,
concern about viruses. I would reckon though it could be seen as an
access issue. What's your experience? What do you think?
