Well, I know we live in cynical times, so I didn't simply dismiss the 
suggestion of a bit of income generation, re. BBC local radio, texting v email 
comments.

Seems though that the text number is a regular BT number, not a 0870 or premium 
rate number.

In any case, and I'll say it again for the record, after I'd emailed BBC WM the 
first time commenting they didn't give out an email address, they started doing 
so almost immediately.  So, I think its more cock-up than conspiracy here.
