So far under Drivers, all I've ever downloadded are Intel modem, and
NVIDIA ones.

that's strange as, I would have said, go to the drivers link.  i think
directX is under "drivers".  it's not really classed as a critical
update and isn't those other pointless updates we get to choose from
either.  i wonder if someone can correct me although, I think directX
would be under drivers.
