George, Ian
Tried both suggestions unsuccessfully.
The view menu within the applications menu only gives choices with regard to
different sized icons.
It is checked to sort by name but jaws REPORTS THAT THIS SELECTION IS
UNAVAILABLE.
Thanks.

Peter,
Try right clicking on the desktop, and select "Sort by name". This will at
least put the icons in alphabetical order.
George.

Subject: [access-uk] Desktop on Windows 7
Using Windows 7 and JAWS 12
Hello
The items on the desktop are not reading properly i.e. I cannot arrow
through items in the normal way and first letter navigation does not work. I
suspect that the view is set to icons rather than list but I can't work out
how to change this. Can somebody advise please.
