It's the clutter that I'm trying to clear, but I don't want to get rid of 
the hot keys.  If anyone knows a work around, I'd appreciate it, and I think 
Paddy would too.

Yup you can.

The shortcut key will go too though.

It's stored in the property attributes of that shortcut file.

It would be a nice idea though for a registry hack.  Or even better if their
could be a shorcut tab in  the programs exe file to do this.

Would certainly save on alot of clutter.
