Yeah. Just to be clear here Frank. We're talking about a delete option within the applications menu - not the delete key on your keyboard.

To get this all helpful menu you need to open your start menu. Arrow down to the thing you want deleted. Then either hit the applications key or right click with your virtual mouse (applications key is usually three keys to the right of your spacebar on a regular qwerty keyboard).

Hitting this key will bring up a new menu. If you arrow down this new menu you'll come to the word 'delete'. Press enter. You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete. If you are sure then press enter on Yes.

There. Just to be sure. A nice long detailed explanation. Hope it's useful.

Hi, Damon!

I can't delete files from the Start menu.

When do I press the Delete Key?

What am I doing wrong, please?

Thanks for your help.

At 21:09 09/07/2007, Damon typed furiously:
easy. simply right-click on the item you want deleting. Choose delete from the menu. And it's gone.

Hi, Listers!

A blind friend wants to know if it's possible to delete items from the Start Menu.

You can have up to twenty-six items, and when you add an item, the first item is replaced.

But my friend would like to delete items she doesn't want.

Thanks for your help.
