Hi Elanor,
As you've probably just read from Barry it appears the tool would have needed
to be installed prior to the file being deleted, which of course makes sense.
Recovering the file therefore could be slightly more complicated, but by no
means impossible. It could be worth taking the machine to a shop and seeing if
the file can be recovered from your HD - assuming of course the space
re-allocated upon deletion of the file has not since contained more data,
therefore overriding the file completely.

I don't know anything about the program or if indeed it would be relevant
to your situation, but I've heard Google Desktop is good. If memory serves
I've known people recover long-ago deleted Email, so possibly it could be the
answer regarding your file. I'm assuming its a document?

I have deleted a very important file in October possibly or early
November. I want to get it back if at all possible. It is not in the recycle
bin. I have Tune-up Utilities 2008 but I do not find it very accessible and
cannot remember where to go there to see if I can retreive the file. Any
