Andy I had a dll error when I was trying to do a windows 7 update to service
pack 1 and I had this repaired by doing a windows repair scan.

Thanks Amro for these ideas - I've been informed that the dll in question
belongs to the Adobe suite of programmes, and have just uninstalled the Adobe
Reader, but sadly still get the same error! -

I don't think those backup CD's will help in this instance. You can do the
repair using any Vista CD. If you have one lying around, borrow one from a
friend or even download Vista online and burn it to a DVD, though the last
option is quite a job as Vista is a significant download. When repairing
Windows you don't reinstall so you don't need to relicense Windows. So you can
use any Vista CD to repair. Now having said all that, if your machine came with
Vista preinstalled, then it most probably has a recovery option. Usually the
recovery utility let you either reinstall from scratch or do a Windows repair.
I'd suggest you consult your machine's manual or Google. You'll probably find
your answer there.

Hope that helps a little and good luck.

    Amro

Amro - thanks. This machine came with Vista pre-installed, and I don't have
an installation CD. I did do a back up so have 17 restore discs, but not sure
if using them will enable me to do a repair? -

Andy, if you don't get better replies then you can try doing a Windows
repair. Insert your Windows CD and there should be a repair option somewhere in
there. This is something I've only done once so I'm working from rusty memory
but as I said if no one comes with better idea...

      Good luck.

Everytime I boot up I am told there was an error loading...
      \libauthentication64\acxobplugin.dll

I've just googled for it, and found something called SpeedMaxPC for
fixing dll errors.

Anybody use this software, and able to say if it works ok with JAWS9?

      Thanks -

      Andy
