[access-uk] Re: DAISY AND MP3 PLAYERS

DAISY AND MP3 PLAYERSYep! It's how I do it and so do CALIBRE The only thing to
remember is that all file numbers must be the same number of digits long or it
goes screwy. For example if you show the first one as Track 1 when you get to
track 10 it will follow track 1 and before track 2. The answer is to show the
first one as Track 01 and that solves the problem.

At the end of the day DAISY is only an MP3 disc with the addition of extra
navigation. Take the extra files out and you have a normal MP3 disc which will
navigate as a music CD will but without the extra sophistification DAISY offers
but a small price for the convenience of playing in an affordable player.

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

Before my Milestone had the Daisy capability put on to it, I once tried
saving a TB to it. The book was read fine with the exception that the chapters
were presented in the order they appeared as files on the CD rather than
sequentially. Somebody told me subsequently that if you saved only the MP3
format files, this didn't happen and the book could be read in its intended
order. Can anyone tell me whether this is the case?
