[access-uk] Re: Crown DAB radio: what's so special about it?

The only thing that is special is the price. Bearing in mind the retail
price generally is £120 for a talking Evoke and the most for the Crown unit
is £50 that's it. I realise that Tapesense customers get the Sonus unit
cheaper but that is a rather special price.

The unit itself is probably not wholey originated by Crown, I think it may
be an adapted unit similar to the one that is brnaded as Intempo.

Subject: [access-uk] Crown DAB radio: what's so special about it?

A friend told me over the weekend that In Touch had mentioned a Crown DAB
portable radio, and I wondered what might be so noteworthy about it. I've
found a good deal of info on the net concerning it but doesn't seem
outstanding to me, unless VI people are finding it particularly usable that
is. Any comments will be received with interest. In the meantime here's
what I found about it.
