Hi Barry

Yes I think that is the best idea, I'm not going to mess
around, I will just take a 16 gb pen with me and let her do
it, I wouldn't want to muck her phone up. Apple are making
it really hard for us.

Regards

Adrien

Hi Adrian,

In that case I would just give her the files on a USB stick
or such like. She can then add the files to Itunes, under
the file menu add files, then hit sycn and these will be
added to her iPhone.

If you wanted to add them you can put NVDA on a pen drive
and access her machine. Failing this you'd need to install
Itunes on your machine, connect to her Apple store account,
synchronise her iPhone to your computer then add as above
the files through Itunes. This could cause problems if you
don't adjust the correct settings in Itunes and copy her
Itunes Media folder over before hand. I.E. Wipe the
contents of her phone.

Apples approach is part company model, a walled garden
approach to make things easier for people who aren't used to
Windows and it's complexity yet flexibility, and Copyright
laws.

Regards,
Barry.

Hi Barry

I don't use itunes or any I device, I want to lend my aunt
some mp3 audio books, she uses an iphone, perhaps if I copy
them to a usb stick, she will be able to copy them in
herself. I use windows xp or windows 7 pro but at the time I
will be using my xp netbook. I would prefer if at all
possible to be able to just copy and paste the books from my
sd cards to her phone but if that isn't possible, then I
will just have to tell her.

Regards

Adrien

Hi,

It doesn't.

Adrian where are these audio books stored on your iPhone?
Are they Audible books, books you bought from Itunes, mp3s
you copied on yourself?

If theya re just straight mp3s you should be able to find
them in your Itunes Media folder. Shout back with what
Operating System you are using if you need a hand finding
this.

Regards,
Barry.

You could Google it and see what you find, I've heard there
are third party applications that can do it but I do not
know how accessible or how easy to use they are.
All the best!
