Thanks George. From what I studied on the KB, this confirmes what I
suspected. I'll get onto them probably in the morning now. I presume in the
meantime though no real damage is being done?

Hi Mark,

It sounds like the repair shop may have re-set the BIOS. Unfortunately this
is not an accessible area.

I suggest you contact them and ask if they would be kind
enough to set it up to shut down properly when instructed to
do so from Windows.
