Put the labels vertically on the side of the tins and you can stack them ok.
To be able to reuse the self adhesive labels simply stick a piece of
sellotape on the item first then stick the label to the selotape. you can
then pull off the sellotape and reuse it as it is if the tape retains its
stickystuff. If not, simply remove the label from the sellotape and it will
stick to another piece fine.

I used to have an IDE Mate but found it quite tedious with my back problem
to stand over the table long enough to go through things. I was just
wondering if I might find the Voila easlier.
You didn't answer my question about stacking tins with labels on the top and
I'm still not quite sure how you re-stick labels you've used before.
Any further info would be msot welcome. Thanks.

I actually have one of these items as I wanted to label some tapes. The
issues I have found with it are as follows:
1. Only a limited number of labels (i.e, you have label 1 to 250, then
that is it).
2. It is a bit of a fad to try and get the label reader working on a
stack of tapes/cds without upseting the rest.
Other than that they are good readers and do what they say on the tin.
Why they only supply you with the first fifty labels though is a mystery as
you will probably get through them quickly and want the rest.
There is a ID mate bar code scanner which uses memory cards and works with
any bar code, the disadvantage with this though is that you would have to
take the CD out of the rack in order to scan it. It is also much more
expensive than the other scanner.
