This is about Brian's computer not mine.
If he tries to link on an address in an email, you know that comes up as
sendmail link: the computer totally crashes and he has to reboot. Not sure
what happens onscreen but he can't turn it off in usual manner and it says:
this action cannot be performed because the default email client is not
properly installed.
Sometime ago I looked at internet options, went to programme and whereas mine
says email: live windows, Microsoft outlook and outlook express, Brian's just
says Microsoft outlook 1 of 1. Now Brian definitely has Outlook Express of
course: that's what he uses and before I installed Microsoft Office it said
there was no programme for email so obviously there is something wrong
somewhere linked to Outlook Express.
Brian phoned a computer shop yesterday and tried to explain the problem and
they said it is somewhere in control panel can someone tell me where and if so
the step-by-step instructions to put this right?
Please reply offlist if this is going to be a bore for others.

Mandy.
