Friends I have been looking around, and there is a long article about this and other matters on the following site: http://www.tvhelp.org.uk/audes/dvd.html RNIB also have a list of audio described DVD's, but at the bottom it says they don't sell them. I think perhaps they should, as all the information I have gleaned so far says that you can only tell if a DVD is audio described by examining the box. It also says that rental DVD's aren't always in their original boxes, so you can't tell anyway. I think the suggestion that suppliers like Play.com and Amazon should be asked to include this information is perhaps one way we can draw this problem to their attention. Perhaps they could include audio described DVD's as a separate category so that we could find them easily and not buy the wrong version.
