I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think the smallest allowance BT have is 15 GB a month. If all your doing is getting emails and downloading texts you won't go anywhere near that amount.

Even if you donwloaded 700 MB a week you'd still only be at 2.8 GB a month.

Don't forget that when you go on the internet or check your email your also sending small amounts of data and that also counts towards your usage limit.

If you were downloading lots of music, audiobooks and videos or sharing a lot through torrents and the like, then you would need to be concerned.

Hi Andy

The average daily news paper from Talking papers is about
300kb and on a Sunday it can be as much as 1.20mb

Anyway thanks for confirming that this sort of thing does
Count for download allowance.

However, does that also mean spam mail counts as well!

Seems I will have to be on unlimited package
And Bt charges £25 a month!

Yes Derek - all downloads go towards your monthly download limit, if you
have one, but I'm imagining these email attachments you are talking about
are .txt or .doc files, and unless you are downloading loads and loads of
them won't really get you anywhere near your limit. It's streaming data or
downloading films/music/audio that eats up download allowances -

Hi All
If a ISP such as BT, has limit on data downloads,
Does this include emails?

For example, If one was receiving long email attachments like
Talking news papers, would this count for the download limits.
