Broadband ProvidersHi Graham.

A number of sites exist. try www.adslguide.org
and
www.ispreview.co.uk

Many broadband providers offer quite decent service and reliability.
I would avoid AOL because they use quite a lot of bespoke software which is not
as accessible as Internet Explorer or FireFox for browsing the web.
I have also found BT to be quite unreliable and would advise not to touch them.

I have used 3 providers myself, Tiscali, Freeuk and the provider I use now,
Plus.net.

Of these I think I prefer Plus.net because it gives me a static IP and that is
useful for playing with web servers, setting up ftp servers etc.
If you are happy with a dynamic IP Address you only want to set up a basic
website then Tiscali is quite hard to beat on price.

Cheers

Graham
