hi, so steve i take it then your also against abbreviations even print users 
use? such etc, ltd, and so on? and of course you won't like text messaging 
either as it's even worse for encouraging laziness by using u for you, 2 for 
too etc.  sorry but using grade 2 as an excuse for poor spelling just 
doesn't hold up. i've been using grade 2 since i was 4 and i think i'm 
pretty good in the spelling department. yet i know plenty of people who are 
fully sighted who can't spell at all!

Hi Angel,

Think about it for a minute.  At least a sighted person gets to see the word
knowledge in all its longhand glory.  Braillists however are rarely exposed
to it, because they tend to learn Grade 2 at a very early age, if they learn
young, as I did.

What makes you think those same people wouldn't be poor spellers if they
have sight.  I know sighted people who are atrocious spellers.  That is just
