Indeed Jackie but you would have one test drive and not a week or a month.
Glenn Tookey has said on list today that people can try out these in their home
if there is serious interest.

Hi Mary

Yes I know, but the problem, in fairness to the dealer, is that the item
then becomes second-hand. I know Humanware offer a 30-day money back
guarantee if you buy their products that aren't suitable, but I can tell you
that companies only keep so many machines as demo stock. It adds up to
quite a packet if they were to go lending them out every time someone wanted
to see something. It's a difficult one as the products are expensive, and
of course you want to try before you buy. Let's face it, you would test
drive a car before you bought it wouldn't you? Exhibitions and small events
are ok, but places like Sight Village are utterly useless for testing out
something before you hand over four grand or whatever. A tricky one with an
argument either way.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Thanks Jackie. I am going to do a great deal of reading and thinking.
It seems a pity there isn't a place you can trial expensive machines for a
couple of weeks when you are spending so much money, but I guess the
maintenance on the items would be far too great.

Regards

Mary
