I would suggest a little water but not too much.  even better ask someone 
who knows about these things to see if it will work or if i just struck 
lucky.  Contact humanware for more info about the service.  They will be 
able to service the machine properly and even replace cells if that is 
needed though clearly this would cost extra.  Humanware can be contacted by

Oh I used a little meths just enough to dampen the cloth, it didn't work
though...Any idea how much a service would cost and if they would actually
"Do" anything?  I can't afford to pay someone to "Just Look" and give it me
back the same way but with a big bill!

My classic is 1997 (from what I can tell, though it could be 1988) I wish I
had a Slightly newer version!
