Oh I used a little meths just enough to dampen the cloth, it didn't work though...Any idea how much a service would cost and if they would actually "Do" anything? I can't afford to pay someone to "Just Look" and give it me back the same way but with a big bill!

My classic is 1997 (from what I can tell, though it could be 1988) I wish I had a Slightly newer version!
Christine.

you could try wiping the unit down with a slightly damp cloth. I do mean
only slightly damp though. Ultimately though, I am afraid these units do
need regular servicing. This being said, my Braillenote was made in August
2002. It has had a lot of use and is slowly nearing the end of its life I
think. It even survived having someone opposite me opening a rather lively
can of coke that spreyed over it. a wipe down with a cloth help restore
things in that instance but some cells are finally starting to clear a bit
reluctantly.

Cheers

Hi all, my braille note classic has three sells which never really clear,
i.e. the dots are almost feelable all the time, is there anything I can do
myself to put this right please? I can't afford to send it away plus I got
it secondhand about two years ago, any suggestions apreciated. Thanks.
Christine.
