There are really only two dedicated note-takers out there, the Apex from
Humanware, or the BrailleSense from Force Ten Co. Both can do
transferring
of files between the device and your PC. Both have onboard storage of
8GB,
and both use SD cards and USB for pens or external drives. Both have WiFi
and Bluetooth built into the machine, and both have 32 Braille cells,
least
the BrailleSense does.
The ouch part is cost, of course. No Braille devices come in cheap, so
you
would be better getting a thorough demonstration before you decide what to
go for.
I have the BrailleSense, so would be able to give you a bit more detail
about it if you want to write me off list.
Alternatively, you could go for a small stand-alone Braille display with a
basic note-taker function within it. The Esys, or the Alva BC640 both
have
basic note-taking functionality, and both connect to your PC to use as out
and out Braille displays. The Alva BC640 connects to Apple devices. But
again, cost is an ouch!
