Hi Pele
There isn't a fast forward and rewind as such on the Booksense. With the
Booksense, you can play individual files or folders. When you play a file,
you only play the individual file and so cannot move forward or back within
the folder which holds the file. If you use Winamp, playing files with the
Booksense is similar to that.

Subject: [access-uk] Booksense Questions
Hi Everyone
I know there is a Booksense discussion list, but I do not want to join it
until I have a booksense. I might be getting one soon and have some
questions
before I decided whether or not to get it. I have been looking through
the manual, which I downloaded from the RNIB site, and have also listened
to a
podcast from Blind Cooltech.
Looking at the manual there does not seem to be a Rewind or Fast Forward
control. I know it is possible to jump by time, and I know the smallest
jump is 5
seconds, but the Victor Reader Stream has a time and fast forward and
rewind. I had an idea that the latest firmware improved this. Am I
correct?
The manual talks a lot about selecting the tracks you want to play, either
selecting playlists or the file or folder you want to play. Is it
possible to go to a
track, set it playing and let it play through all the folders until you
stop it. Again, this is possible on the Victor Reader Stream and most
other MP3 players I
have seen.
Is it possible to go back to a track on a previous folder? For example,
if one is listening to Track 1 of a folder, if you go back one track will
it go to the last
track of the previous folder in the music list? This is not possible on
the Milestone 3.11, although most other MP3 players will allow it.
Is it possible to turn off some of the annoying tones on the Booksense as
one can on the Victor Reader Stream?
I would be interested to see what people have to say about the Booksense.
