Ibrahim,

GW Micro are only dealers in the US.  They do not
provide any support for the booksense in the UK.

It is sold here by RNIB and by Computer Room Services.
The British version is different mainly I think due to
improved DAISY functionality.

Hims are only the manufacturer, they neither provide
technical assistance or
firmware for the device, official updates and support
are provided by GW,
hence my saying that its manufactured by them.

The BookSense is a digital talking book reader, mp3
player and voice recorder.  Its made by GW Micro,
the same people behind Window-Eyes, a popular screen
reader.  Its about the size of a regular mobile
phone and has human sounding synthetic speech, is fully
accessible of course and is relatively easy to use.
There are two models, the standard and XT.  The XT
in addition to having the standard set of features also
sports 4GB of internal memory, an FM radio and
Bluetooth so you can listen without using wired
headphones though both have a built in speaker.
