Hi David,
It sounds like the BookCourier has failed for some reason.
Unfortunately, we can no longer get parts for it, so it is no longer
possible to easily repair them either.

I have just put new batteries into my Book Courier and it now does not speak
to me. The batteries are new and are in the right way. My wife has plugged
