This even made Reporting Scotland on BBC1 Television. They had the 
obligatory blind person to give some credibility. How are these people 
chosen?

The thing is, I remember reading about this bionic eye when I first went
blind, and they don't seem to have progressed much in the last dozen years.
About the only change is that, in theory, they could make the chip operate
like a video camera, with slow motion and replay.  Ok, this cyborg stuff
sounds great, but it also sounds like science fiction.  Still, this is a
great hook line for investors.
