Subject: [access-uk] BT internet install
Hi
For various reasons, we have decided to purchase our internet broadband
from BT internet and today I have ordered a package including a BT home
hub which I think had some coverage on this list fairly recently.
I have downloaded the quick start guide and the installation looks
extremely simple, however I have a few questions if anyone can please
help.
1. When I insert the CD to install the software and presumably activate my
BT account, can I connect wirelessly at that point in order to do that or
do I need to connect a PC to the unit via a cable first?
2. Presumably I only have to install the BT software onto one machine on
which I can activate the account as once there is a wireless connection to
the internet that should be OK for all the other machines connecting
wirelessly. Is that correct?
3. If I remember correctly from BT internet installations I have done for
other people a number of years ago now, the BT internet install is not too
accessible with the window-eyes mouse pointer or jaws cursor. Is that
still the case please? Potentially I will be doing this install without
sighted assistance so it would be quite good to know.
Thanks.
