Depends, if it's a bt voyager 220v router, then no, but if a bt home hub
then yes.

Subject: [access-uk] BT Broadband Question

Hello all,
My friend will be getting a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium this
coming week. She's currently with the above provider. Does she require the
software they give you or can she just plug in the Ethernet cable and get
internet access right away?
Just want to be safe and sorry.
Thank you very much. Take care.
From Chris.
