You can use beeps if change pitch won't work. ----- Original Message ----- From: john coley To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, November 27, 2011 2:39 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: BBC iPlayer site problems Peter, what you're overlooking is that none of the human based SAPI voices support pitch, so they're only any good for say all. You've only got to look at some of the posts that come onto this list to see what can happen when people don't have pitch change to alert them of capitals. I think it is probably an excellent choice for those who are not in a position to purchase very over priced screen readers. I will admit to having pricey screen readers but only because I had them provided as a student. Jaws now doesn't recognise the pose button, volume button, time line button etc. All Jaws sees is the play button but after I press it Jaws doesn't see any of the flash player buttons including the play/pose button. Is it just me? The issue happens with Jaws 12 and 13 too. Anyone is having the same issue? Thanks.
