Hi James.

Now your just trying to be funny. You did say, in an earlier message, that you were able to grab url's whilst using the accessible Radio Tuner. All I've been trying to do is get from you an explanation of just how you managed to achieve this, given that I am unable to do so whilst using the same tuner.

Both the BBC accessible Radio Tuner and the accessible listen again are new services being offered by the BBc, which are clearly designed for
improved accessibility for visually impaired listeners. Therefore, it is quite appropriate and legitimate of me, as a member of this particular list, to try and understand any issues concerning them both.

If you didn't quite understand my question, then it would have been more productive to ask for further explanations from me. Simply referring me back to unsatisfactory or contradictory answers to my question, or trying to make me sound thick, is completely unhelpful and antagonistic.

I am currently building a web-page of links to various radio stations and listen again services, which may also include television in the future and I am hoping to give this to list members, who like myself, have experienced difficulties negotiating several pages in order to get access to particular broadcasts. Again, given the nature of this list which we both subscribe to, , any questions I may have concerning this project are also legitimate and on-topic.

Best wishes.
Andy.

Andy

As I said in previous messages, what you need to do is find a link to the audio you want (e.g. in the *standard* Radio Player's list of shows, not in the Accessible Listen Again software), right-click on the link by pressing numPad *, then choose "Copy shortcut" from the menu which appears, and then paste the URL wherever you want it). Sorry, I really don't know how else to explain it.

Hi James.

Don't understand why you keep referring me back to previous answers mate. I'm just confused as you advised that you are able to grab url's whilst listening via the BBC Radio Player. I have the player and whilst listening to BBC Radio 2, the focus does not move off the list of various radio stations and there is no address bar highlighting the url to the current show that I'm listening to mate.

Best wishes.
Andy

Andy, please look at previous messages in this thread from both myself and Ray, which explain how you can get the URL onto the clipboard.

Hi again James.

Can youtell me how you managed to focus upon a url within the Radio Player. I usually do an alt D to get to the address bar, but in the Player, there is no address bar?

Best wishes.

Andy

These links came from the *radio Player*!! :). But as long as you can find a link to the programme, anywhere, you can follow the instructions from my previous message to get the URL.

Hi James.

Thanks for that, but how did you go around getting it? Now I've got 2 url's, One for Bob's Saturday evening show and one for Simon Mayo's Monday Album Chart show. Incidentally, his link is "http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio2/aod.shtml?radio2/albumchart";

All I need do now is get more links to fill up my web-page, and there is plenty to choose from eh?

Thanks again.

Andy

Andy, you want
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio2/aod.shtml?radio2/bobharris

The best way of getting a URL is to find a link to the page you want, right-click the link, then choose "copy shortcut" from the pop-up context menu that appears. You won't get any feedback after you click on this option, but the URL that the link is pointing to will have been copied to the clipboard, for you to paste it into your web page or wherever you want it to go.

Hi Peter. Thanks for that, but do you think that they would give it to me? Worth trying anyway eh?

Best wishes.

Subject: [access-uk] BBC Radio 2 url s

Hi all.

Can anyone please advise me of the best way to grab a url from a BBC Radio 2 show?

I'm using the BBC's Radio Player but when listening, there is no obvious way of copying the url. The one that I'm trying to get is Bob Harris's Saturday night show. I even tried to get the url from the BBC Radio 2 web-page, by clicking on Listen Again, but the Radio Player launches. The only way I can get an url is to listen live and do an ALT F4.

Best wishes.

Andy
