Subject: [access-uk] Audio Description

Hi all.

I had promised a list member, who is away on honeymoon, that I'd record the
audio from The Royal, which was showing on ITV tonight at 8.00pm. However,
after setting up GoldWave and my computer, I soon realised that this episode
was not described. When I arrow up on the SKY Remote Control, I hear the
click that indicates that I am indeed on an AD channel.

The same thing happened on Friday evening when an advertised described movie
on Channel 4 turned out not to be described.

I've experienced this problem before and other list members have assured me
that the programme that I was referring to was indeed described.

Can anyone please tell me if this could be a Regional Variation issue and
although, for example, I had tuned into I#TV, I was on ITV Scotland and not
ITV London.

Any advise would be very welcomed.

Best wishes.

Andy
