What you need to do is go into Audible Manager. Pressalt+e to go into the
Edit menu. Arrow down to Options and press ENTER.Press ctrl+pagedown until
you hear 'desktop playback'. Arrow down until you hear 'play audible files
with Windows Media Player. Tab to the ok button and press ENTER.

Well Léonie, it has been this time, but like you, I too have found it
unstable, and now, I can't streem titles in WMP, because the plug-in seems
to have become uninstalled when I uninstalled the programme [even though I
said for it not to be!] So, I now need to get hold of that plug-in again! -

| Andy,
|
| That's great. Audible Manager is a fairly unstable programme in my
| experience. Good to know it's easily fixed.
|
| Regards,
| Léonie.

| Hi Léonie - Thanks for this; I've since reinstalled Audible Manager, and
all

|| Andy,
||
|| I've downloaded a book from Audible.co.uk this evening, so it seems
|| that the site itself is working ok. An HTTP 500 error usually means that
a
|| script has failed to work or that a database connection hasn't been made
|| properly.
||
|| It's worth checking your browser settings, as well as your
|| connection settings and any anti-virus software that may be in the way.
It
|| does sound as though the problem may be some changed settings at your
end,
|| but there's no guarantee of course.
||
|| Regards,
|| Léonie.

||
|| Hi all -
||
|| I seem to be able to download ok from the Audible.com website, but not
| from
|| the Audible.co.uk website!
||
|| The .co.uk website produces the message:
||
|| HTTP server replies with an error code: 500 internal server encountered
an
|| error.
||
|| Any thoughts anybody? I've written to Audible.co.uk, but they keep asking
| me
|| about firewalls, and wireless routers etc, when I'm using the same
| equipment
|| and set-up that downloaded fine from both Audible sites until a few days
|| ago! -
