Hi Peter,

One small correction. K1000 won't read absolutely anything that comes
through your door. It can't do handwriting at all. =20

Hi Ray. I use a CCTV, but like you figured, not a lot. I have two
actually. One is five years old and the new one, complete with auto
focus is brand new. I haven't used it much, but its great to use when
reading the numbers on my CD collection. I have music CD's that are in
the hundreds range, so rock music for instance is in the 0 to 1000
range, programs are in the 5000 range, audio books. are in the 4000
range and audio descriptive movies are in the 6000 range. All of these
are kept in many shoe boxes. After checking MS Access for a certain
movie or rock album, I check the CD's sleeve for the number I need.
Apart from that, I really don't need it. I read newspapers online. I
might use my CCTV now and again to read an envelope or a piece of paper,
but that is it. I think if you have Kerzwell you might never need a CCTV
at all, as Kerzwell will scan everything that comes in your door.
There's always the sighted person who can assist in reading your mail.
Still though, if you have one, make as much use of it as you can. Ditto
for your monitor or Zoomtext. Use whatever you can, for as long as you
can. The day will come when its Jaws or Windows Eyes and no use of a
monitor at all.
