Hi, no Chris doesn't mean his friend wants teaching, he means she would

Am I right Chris? If so the RNIB correspondence course is a BTEC and
worth the equevelent of two A-levels. If your friend does another
A-level, she may gain access to Portsmouth university where she can do a
teacher training degree that will enable her to work with and teach
children with visual disabilities. Portsmouth is the Only university
that does this now.

Regards. Christine.

Hi

If you know grade 2 already you can do it, but it's not meant for
teaching.
Nor do RNIB have volunteer teachers. Please just ask the helpline about
learning opportunities in Wolverhampton or wherever they live and they
will
go through the options, whether self-teach. They can do this for blind
people and sighted alike and point them in the right direction.

You can also check out www.rnib.org.uk/braille

Cheers
Dave

Hi Chris

In that case, it probably needs to be RNIB. They have a BTEC Advanced
Grade
Two English Braille certificate she can do herself using the Primer. I
think they run these courses a couple of times a year.
