I made my first purchase on ebay a couple of weeks ago, a Plantronics DSP
Headset. The cheapest price I had seen listed before going to ebay was £39
plus postage. I paid the asking price of £32 at ebay and the dealer sent it
free of charge by second class mail. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

well, if you see something you like then if it's an auction item you can
place whatever bid you're prepared to offer. if it is a "buy only" offer
and, there are plenty of them about. You have a look at that item, make
sure you're satisfied with the feedback, feedback rating and the postage
cost. Postage isn't always extortionate. all depends on who you're dealing
with and many will tell you the postal rates before bidding/buying anyway.
you need to click the buy now button. you'll go to the log in page. enter
username and password. then you go to the next page that tells you what you
have brought, it'll list all the costs that you know of with the item.
it'll give you a choice (if there is one) of accepted forms of payment.
choose paypal by selecting the radio button, if not already selected. then,
oh, I forget the name of the buttom now. it's something like Pay or
continue even lol. after entering, next page will be the paypal website.
Yep, you've gone onto another website and, the best part is that the item
and costs are put in already with some blurb on, you're about to make a
purchase. you log in to your paypal account. next page is more of a
confirmation page, you can choose what credit card to use, or either credit
or debit card. this choice depends on whether you've registered more than
one card on your paypal account. you can write a message to the buyer too,
at the bottom of the page where there is a text box. when you've done all
that, click "pay" and you've got a webpage with a thank you recept.
I'd say to anyone and even I, experienced in this is, to take your time over
it. don't rush any stage of the buying process. Make sure you're satisfied
with all the information on each page and that everything is going according
to how it should do.
