All seems a bit drastic - mandy have you considered rolling back to
internet explorer 6 to see if that fixes the issue - if it does then
sticking with ie6 might be your least complex option.

If you do decide to install firefox then get it from www.getfirefox.com
it will assk you when installing if you want it to be the default
browser, you could say no and then enable this option in the futrue if
you decide to stay flexible for a little while. The difficulty with this
option is that you will have to learn a new application. Firefox is good
but it is slightly different from ie in a number of ways.

Dave how do I do that? Do I use this laptop or the desktop upstairs to
which the router is also connected?

If I did install Firefox how would \I make it my default browser I
know nothing about it.

Mandy.
