MessageI understand that the Pro is a good deal bigger, and has an 8 megapixel
camera rather than the Mini's 5 MP job. Presumably the Pro battery life might
be more? but don't know for sure.

Vince.

  Hi Debbie,
I saw the mini pro today, neat little phone.
How much do you have to do on touch screen,?
or can you use keystrokes to access most things, guy in shop thought screen
needed for all menus etc.
Is the pro physically bigger or same size?
  Thanks
  Colin

    Hi Colin

Gingerbread is the current operating system. My phone will get ICS the
upgrade at the end of April so you could get the phone now and it will be
upgraded then. The hardware keyboard is a qwerty keyboard that pulls out. On
the Mini Pro it is really good in my opinion. The Sony Ericsson xperia pro has
a bigger camera and a bigger battery but apart from that the phones are the
same.

    Debbie

      thanks Debbie,
Is there benefit in waiting for ICS upgrade to the Sony phones you
mentioned seen as you are using them well at present?
Is Ginger Bread the predecessor to ICS?
When you say hardware keyboard do you mean built in QWERTY or phone
keypad?
      Many thanks
      Colin

        Hi Colin

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is readily available which runs the latest
Android operating system ICS Android 4.0. This phone is VI accessible straight
out of the box. Many other Android phones will be receiving the ICS update in
the next few months including the Sony Experia Pro and Mini Pro which I have.
These two phones also have hardware keyboards unlike the Samsung Galaxy Nexus
I happily use the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro with gingerbread
(android 2.3). I use mobile Accessibility which is available from Code
Factory. There are also two free screen readers on the Android operating
system Spiel and talkback which are free to download from the Android Market
and are very good.

        Debbie

          Hi Folks,
I am now being offered a phone upgrade at work as they all continue
to use
          blackberry.
I can put it off for a couple of months as I recall mention of an
upgrade
coming to I think Android accessability in early summer.
I am not interested in I phones and currently still use an N86 and
know I
have to move on at some point.
Did I dream this upgrade / launch or can anyone give me further
details.
          Thanks
          Colin .
