Thanks for the idea, however, I would find scanning a normal print book rather difficult, and although I have a scanner I do not have a Braille display, and do not have room for one even if I could purchase one second-hand via the recycle-it list.
Would I not also need an embosser, costing even more money, to print out the Braille?
