just go for winmx and ignore the legality. you may as well if you are
prepared to go for allofmp3.

All of MP3 is not only illegal in that as far as I know there are no
royalties paid, but the owners of the site take money as well after
effectively stealing the work.

If I have got this wrong then I happily stand corrected. I'm not trying to
make a morral point here, just saying that it seems there is little that's
legal about allofmp3.

Cheers

My problem is that i asked for an accessible music download site when I
first started using the net a few months back and allofmp3 was the one I got
mentioned to me.

I want something that will allow me to download, plain and simple mp3's but
without having to have specialised software here on my computer, allofmp3
fits that bill, I'm welcome to any other suggestions, as long as they're
legal.

I'm waiting for spiralfrog to start up but aren't sure how we'll go on with
all of the ads which are likely to be graphic.

there problems lie with the fact that certainly the american music
industry
believes that allofmp3 is selling music it does not have the copyright to
so
they are doing all they can and influencing all they can in order to make
it
difficult for allofmp3 to trade.

I don't really know all the legal ins and outs but as I don't make the
music
I don't lose much sleep over the copyright issue. selfish I admit but if
the
music is free I will take it. Equally, when good things come to an end
you
can only be philosophical and say you enjoyed them while they were there.

That is absolutely disgusting of allofmp3 to remove visa. I have a visa debit card, and now I won't be able to sign up to allofmp3 thanks to them. Oh well, I'm not bothered anyway as I use CD ripping software to make my MP3's, <smiles>. However, thanks for the info. On Sun, 8 Oct 2006 22:39:24 +0100, "John Gurd" <j.gurd@xxxxxxxxxxxx> said:
Alas Steve, you're completely wrong. Unless things have changed in the
last
couple of hours, the credit card options you get by going down the route
you
mention include Master Card, Diners Club, JCB and Solo but unfortunately
not
Visa. Until a week or so ago it used to include Visa but alas no more.

Hi folks,

Since Tracey posted here that you can't pay by Visa on AllofMP3, I can
happily correct this.

At the point that it says unfortunately, credit card payments are not
accepted, there is a button that says Pay With Alltunes. Hit that
button,
log in with your same user information for allofmp3, and you will be able
to
pay by Visa.

All the best
