[access-uk] Re: Ad Aware alternatives

The Ad-Aware SE support forum at
http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?s=b1f16f4f35bedb2c7a2df8ecdaad4
2a3&showforum=1
Says the following: "Note: Ad-Aware SE will be expiring Dec 31, 2007. If
you haven't updated your version to Ad-Aware 2007 please do that now."

I take this to mean that no updates will be made available past the end
of 2007. The application itself doesn't give any notification of this
that I have spotted, and if you haven't checked for updates since the
middle of December, then there are still new definition files. I think
the last I got were dated 27 December, but I haven't had any since then.
I'll still check every now and then for the next month or so, but I'm
not holding my breath!

Steve

So in fact can we still get the definitions for the old Ad Aware? If
so, darn it, as my friend has uninstalled it. Guess I'll have to put
it back on for her when I next see her.
