Imagine you could just show the nib of the pen to the Internet radio or DAB device and it reads out what you are listening to, and then anything else as you move the dial or enter a menu system. Ooh you never know. In that way, it would mean that the device itself wouldn't need to be altered, but the software in the pen could be updated to take account of the latest technology. Perhaps a pipe dream, but an interesting thought nevertheless.
