Hi Chris

As far as is humanly possible to tell, it is updating for me. I do sometimes go in manually and find a high priority update that I select and then update, but it is doing what I hope it should be. (smile.)

How strange! Wonder if it's an issue with Proxifier then? For those who don't know what it is, it's a programme that tunnels the proxy connection so that programmes can connect directly. Perhaps there are issues with this under Vista, I don't know. Anyway thanks for the help, greatly appreciated.

Hi Chris

Yes, definitely. I've never had any problems with it.

Hi Jackie, is it updating for you automatically though? I can update it manually fine; it's the automatic updates that are not taking place, despite me enabling it and what not. I'll give Avast a go and see if it does automatically update. Thanks for the help, greatly appreciated.

Hi Chris

AVG Free is definitely updating for me using Vista. Sometimes I have to select a priority update that has come in, but it definitely does update regularly or I would ditch it.

Subject: [access-uk] AVG Versus Nod32?

Hi all,
I'm currently using the free AVG antivirus on my Vista laptop. However, unlike XP, AVG never seems to update automatically, even though I've told it to. A friend and support worker has this problem as well, so it must be an issue with the latest AVG and Vista. Does anyone know if Nod32 will work better in this respect? If so, I may give it a try. All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
