[access-uk] A sound queery

Hi all -

The sound is working fine on my Vista laptop, when heard through the built-in 
speakers, but when I plug headphones in [and I prefer to work this way] the 
playback is about 80 percent over to the left channel. I thought that what I 
heard in the headphones replicated the settings of the speakers, but obviously 
not. Is there a way then, that I can pan back to the middle for the headphones? 
I can't see anything under volume, and yes, I have tested the headphones in 
other devices, and they are working fine, so it looks to be a sound setting on 
this machine.
